Job Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Compliance, BSA/AML, and Security Officer to help ensure our community bank operates safely, ethically, and in full compliance with regulatory expectations. You’ll play an important role in helping us continue to serve our customers with the integrity and care they expect from a relationship-based bank. This role is ideal for a compliance professional who values collaboration, precision, and making a meaningful impact in a community bank environment.
Responsibilities
The Compliance Officer guides and oversees the bank’s compliance program, including adherence to federal and state regulations, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) requirements, and physical security protocols. Your expertise ensures the bank operates within legal and ethical boundaries while maintaining a strong risk management culture. Primary responsibilities include regulatory compliance management, BSA/AML oversight and monitoring, physical security responsibilities, reporting, training, and communication. Throughout your work, you’ll be a trusted partner to departments across the bank—helping us stay aligned, informed, and ready for what’s ahead.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with mid- to senior–level experience who has built a strong foundation- in compliance and is excited to continue growing in this field. Ideal candidates have:
- At least 7 years of experience in banking, or with a related regulatory agency or consulting firm, with 5 years of experience in direct compliance and BSA program management
- Strong working knowledge of banking regulations, BSA/AML requirements, and regulatory examinations
- Experience developing and delivering employee training
- Professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS or similar (preferred)
- A detail‑oriented, relationship‑driven approach that helps you work independently while partnering closely across departments
