Various LocationsLaunched by the Minnesota Bankers Association, Community Impact Month helps showcase the crucial roles bankers play in their communities all year long and spotlight volunteer opportunities statewide, both of which help forge strong local communities.

Paws on Grand Event! BankCherokee is hosting Heart of a Border Collie Rescue in front of the bank at 985 Grand Avenue! Sun., Sept. 8, the event runs from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. BankCherokee will be the host for 2 other businesses, Odd Couple Realty & Wet Paint as well their non-profits, come out & join the fun! Enjoy all Grand Avenue has to offer…with your dog! No dog? No problem. PAWS on Grand partners with dozens of pet rescue organizations so you can adopt a range of pets. You can also shop our Pet Marketplace, get pet portraits, and cheer on the Wiener Dog Races.
Salvation Army on West 7th Street – Friday, Sept. 13th, Food Sorting, Distribution, and Clean-up. Our staff will be covering two shifts one in the morning & one in the afternoon. This Salvation Army location serves the West 7th Street neighborhood of St. Paul. Call 651-224-4316 to learn more or request help.
Drive-Thru Shred Event at our North Oaks Location – Saturday, Sept. 14th in North Oaks: 999 Village Center Drive 9:30 am-noon! BankCherokee combines a morning of free document-shredding with a cash and food collection event to benefit Neighborhood House Food Shelf, Ralph Reeder and FINNEGANS Reverse Food Truck. NOTE, this event will be Drive-Thru Only, we will help collect your shredding & donations!
Douglas Park Fall Clean Up – Wednesday, Sept. 18th, Staff will remove litter and weed the playground area as well as getting a jump on fall clean-up. The City of Saint Paul has over 170 parks and BankCherokee is the steward of Douglas Park which is located just 2 blocks east or our Smith Avenue location. We are proud to be the caretakers of this charming little park that is right in our neighborhood.
Box Pack for Foodmobile supporting Keystone Community Services, 2:00-4:30 –Monday, Sept. 23rd Together, we can connect more people to the support they need now. Keystone Community Services food shelves and programs improve the lives of youth, families and seniors. Together, we’re all stronger!
Little Bohemia Clean-up Day – 2:30 – 4:30 PM Thursday, September 26th – This event works in collaboration with the Little Bohemia Neighborhood Association to help maintain and beautify the Little Bohemia bike trail that runs through this neighborhood. BankCherokee always gathers a strong team that works hard to keep this area looking good!
Keystone Community Services In-Branch Project – Staff will assemble over 350 Laundry Kits including soap and dryer sheets that will be distributed to those in need within the communities Keystone serves. More on Keystone Community Services.
