Collecting Used Eyeglasses

Globally, one child in four cannot see well enough to learn to read without eyeglasses.

BankCherokee’s very own Julie Novak is working with Midway Lions Club to help them with their Used Eyeglass Program. If you no longer need your used glasses or sunglasses, please consider donating them. The Lions Club collects gently used prescription eyeglasses which are then distributed to people in developing countries who have no means of purchasing prescription glasses.

If you would like to donate, round up your old glasses as well as those from your family, friends, neighbors, etc and bring them on in. They do not need to have an eyeglass case – however, they do need to be complete (no missing lenses or broken frames). You can drop off your old glasses at any BankCherokee location. We will collect used glasses through Friday, February 14th. Thank you !!!
