Fraud Alert: Phone Scam Targeting BankCherokee Customers

Important Alert: Phone Scam Targeting BankCherokee Customers

We want to make you aware of a recent phone scam affecting some of our customers. Scammers are spoofing BankCherokee’s phone number, making it appear as though the call is coming from the bank. During these calls, the fraudster claims there is a “failed transfer” on your account and then asks for personal or account information.

Please remember: BankCherokee will never call and ask for confidential information such as account numbers, online banking credentials, one-time passcodes, or Social Security numbers.

If you receive a call like this:

  • Do not provide any personal or account information.
  • Hang up immediately.
  • Call us directly using the number on our website or the number printed on your debit or ATM card.
  • Report the call so we can document the activity and help protect your account.

Your security is our top priority. If you have concerns or believe you may have shared information with a scammer, please contact us right away.

Stay safe,

The BankCherokee Team
