Launched by the Minnesota Bankers Association, Community Impact Month helps showcase the crucial roles bankers play in their communities all year long and spotlight volunteer opportunities statewide, both which help forge strong local communities.

Little Bohemia – Is an eclectic, historic, urban neighborhood in Saint Paul located in the bustling West 7th Street area, a stone’s throw from the Mississippi River, near Downtown. Staff will be cleaning up walking paths and helping beautify this area that has lovely walking & bike paths. More on Little Bohemia.
Drive-Thru Shred Event Smith Avenue – Saturday, Sept. 19th at Smith Avenue 9:30-noon BankCherokee combines a morning of free document-shredding with a cash and food collection event to benefit Neighborhood House Food Shelf and FINNEGANS Reverse Food Truck. NOTE, this event will be Drive-Thru Only, we will help collect your shredding & donations!
Douglas Park Fall Clean Up – Staff will remove litter and weed the playground area as well as re-planting gardens in this charming little gem of a park. The City of Saint Paul has over 170 parks and BankCherokee is the steward of Douglas Park which is located just 2 blocks east or our Smith Avenue location. We are proud to be the caretakers of this charming little park that is right in our neighborhood.
Keystone Community Services In-Branch Project 1 – Staff will be creating Happiness Note Cards for Meals On Wheels all month- These will go in the meals delivered from now through the holidays. The staff is creating various themes including: Halloween, Thanksgiving & Holiday/Season Greeting.
Keystone Community Services In-Branch Project 2 – Staff will be assembling Laundry Kits including soap and dryer sheets that will be distributed to those in need within the communities Keystone serves. More on Keystone Community Services.
Virtual Food Drive – Benefiting Every Meal (formerly The Sheridan Story), on-line Sept. 2nd- Oct.31st Every Meal is able to purchase various foods in bulk and can make your dollars go further. Your cash donation equals the cost of food items listed on the Digital, Contactless Food Drive page on their website, these donations will provide meals for children in our communities. Donate Here!
